Edelman
Suzy Socker
Edelman has appointed Suzy Socker as UK managing director, brand. Socker has over two decades of global integrated communications experience and will be taking on the role after serving at the firm for four years, most recently as head of operations. Prior to joining Edelman, she was a global communications consultant and brand director. She also previously served as board director at M&C Saatchi Talk and practice director at Ketchum, and held roles at Fearnhurst PR, Iris, Halpern, GCI London and PR 21. In her latest role, Socker will be responsible for leading Edelman UK’s brand portfolio and proposition, and will report to Ruth Warder, UK chief executive officer and brand chair, EMEA. She replaces Matt Brown, who held the role of vice chair, brand, EMEA and leaves Edelman after six years.

Dave Taylor-Langdale
Word Monster has appointed Dave Taylor-Langdale as managing director of the UK office. Taylor-Langdale most recently served as editorial director and marketing director at Word Monster, after joining the agency as a contractor. He has held various roles at, among others, Swordfish Advertising and was also a freelance medical writer.

Emotive has appointed Rose-Marie Billington as senior account director. Billington takes on the role after serving as account director at the agency. Prior to this, she held roles of increasing responsibility at OPEN Health, including her most recent position as account director. She also previously worked at IGNIFI and Rock Unlimited.

Prior to this, she was a pre-registration pharmacist at Medimpo and completed an internship at GSK.

McManus brings notable medical communications experience to her latest role, which she takes on after serving as medical writer, also at emotive. Prior to this, she held the position of medical writer at healthcare marketing agency Cogora.

Camino has appointed Kirsty McCann as senior medical writer. McCann has an educational background in biomedical sciences and neuroscience, and brings multiple years’ experience of working on rare disease accounts to her latest role. Most recently she was a medical writer at Oxford PharmaGenesis after starting as an associate medical writer.
