Rippon Ubhi
Sanofi has appointed Rippon Ubhi as country lead for the UK and Ireland. Ubhi has almost 20 years of senior commercial leadership experience in global, international and affiliate organisations, and has lived and worked in the UK, US and Japan over the past decade. She has most recently been serving as general manager for speciality care in the UK and Ireland at Sanofi, a position she will maintain alongside her new appointment. Prior to joining the company, Ubhi spent 18 years in a variety of roles at AstraZeneca, first serving as medical sales representative for cardiovascular and respiratory in the UK and later as senior marketing director, respiratory business unit in the US. Her most recent role at AstraZeneca was global head of commercial strategy and portfolio, immuno-oncology franchise.

Andrew Caldwell
Amylyx Pharmaceuticals has appointed Andrew Caldwell as general manager UK and Ireland. Caldwell holds over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He most recently served as principal consultant, rare diseases at NeoN. He also previously held a variety of roles at Roche Pharmaceuticals, Merck Sorono, Sandoz, Gilead Sciences and AstraZeneca.

Irina Spirieva
Besins Healthcare has appointed Irina Spirieva as general manager for UK and Ireland. Spirieva has a wealth of experience in women’s health and global pharmaceuticals. She most recently served as head of commercial operations, UK, Northern Europe and Israel at Organon. Prior to this, Spirieva held a variety of positions at Merck (MSD) and Johnson & Johnson.

Harco Giling
Pharmanovia has appointed Harco Giling as regional manager, Spain, Portugal and France. Giling brings over a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to his new position. Before joining the company, Giling was vice president, Europe for Shilpa Medicare. Prior to this he was with Intas Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for the European key accounts.

Chris Holmes
Veranova has appointed Chris Holmes as vice president, global engineering. Holmes brings a wealth of experience across several senior positions to his new role. He most recently served as president and strategic advisor at Evolve Strategy and Management. Prior to this, Holmes held the position of vice president, global engineering, biologics at Catalent Pharma Solutions.

Ana Sharma
Abivax has appointed Ana Sharma as vice president, global head of quality. Sharma has over two decades of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry. She most recently served as vice president, global head of research and development clinical quality assurance at Takeda. Prior to this, Sharma held a variety of roles at Novartis, Amgen and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Jamie Campbell
CurifyLabs has appointed Jamie Campbell as chair of the company’s board. Campbell brings extensive experience from the biopharma industry to the role. He has most recently been serving as chief executive officer of Nordic Healthcare Group. Campbell has also held senior leadership position at companies including Roche and Novartis, and was the founder of Toronto-based Tulkita Technologies.

Mark Pruzanski
Corteria Pharmaceuticals has appointed Mark Pruzanski as chairman of its board of directors. Pruzanski has more than 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry. He was recently chairman and chief executive officer of Versanis Bio and was founder and chief executive officer of Intercept Pharmaceuticals. Pruzanski also serves as a board member of a range of biotech companies.

AATec Medical has appointed Claus Vogelmeier to its scientific advisory board. Vogelmeier brings significant clinical experience in inflammatory lung diseases to the role. Beyond his work at Philipps-University, where he co-founded the German Center for Alpha-1 antitrypsin, Vogelmeier has held leadership roles including president of the German Respiratory Society.
