This year, as Mike Dixon puts it in his column on page 14, ‘Tis the season to be kind.
He goes on to say: “We are on the roll into the festive season. Most of us probably feel we need (and rightly deserve) the break from video meetings and are looking forward to spending time with friends and family, which for many was not possible in 2020 and which, despite the new Omicron variant and rising COVID-19 rates across Europe, we hope are possible this year.
“We are all different and this time of year will mean different things to different people. For some it’s about religion, for others it’s about the time off with family and friends and for many children it’s about the magic of Santa Claus!
“But there is one emotion that does seem to blossom this time of year, whatever our perspective, and that is kindness.” After nearly two years of struggling to cope with everything that the pandemic brought to our lives, this may be the most important gift we can give to each other.
In a highlight of the year, PMGroup has just celebrated hosting the 21st annual PMEAs at an in-person event held at the Royal Lancaster London hotel. This year the event once again hosted attendees gathering for a live awards show to recognise the achievement in pharmaceutical marketing excellence.
