PR and communications agency 32West has expanded its operations across the north of England, acquiring two new office units as part of its aim to meet the increasing demand for its services.
Complementing the continuing work at its two other sites in Carlisle and Ulverston, the company has added two new offices in Newcastle and Liverpool.
The company – founded in 2018 – specialises in providing communications, social media, digital marketing and videography service. The team at 32West has rapidly grown, now employing 11 members of staff since its inception and recently adding two new social media and digital marketing specialists.
As part of the changes moving forward, the company has listened to client calls for videography and has added a further investment into its video operation branch.
32West’s expansion comes in light of the rising demand for its services, with businesses spanning across various industry sectors nationwide, including hospitality, construction, accounting and engineering.
The company has welcomed its first graphic designer, Matt McVeigh. An Illustration graduate from the University of Central Lancashire, McVeigh brings a strong background of experience working as a graphic designer to the role and will also be tasked with assisting the social media team operations.
Alongside McVeigh’s new position, 32West has appointed Georgia Stretton as an account executive. Stretton graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2021 with a degree in Business Management and has gained valuable insight into how businesses can best use social media to promote themselves to a larger audience. Both appointments are part of the positive developments being implemented at 32West, with the company making strides in recruiting another member to further strengthen its content creation team.
Sharing his thoughts on the company changes, James Higgin, founder and director of 32West, commented: “As our client portfolio grows, we feel privileged to be in a position to expand and play a role in helping more businesses of all types and sizes across the north of England to grow and achieve great success.
“We are passionate about sharing the fantastic stories of businesses throughout the region and we are committed to spreading our expertise wider by creating office spaces in Liverpool and Newcastle; the perfect additions to our Cumbrian bases.”
Medical communications and market access company Prime Global has acquired HCD Economics, an organisation specialising in health economics and outcomes research, real-world evidence and business intelligence.
The company, founded by CEO and managing director Graeme Peterson in 1997, is comprised of seven agencies – Prime, Scion, Spark, Cambridge, Core, Onyx and Paragon – and five consultancies – Only Oncology, IRIS, Prime Access, Prime Omics and Prime Patient – in addition to group-level teams working in the creative, strategy and digital fields of the organisation.
As part of the acquisition, HCD will work closely with Prime Global’s range of agencies, bolstering Prime Global’s group of medical communications agencies and consultancies. These include Prime Access – the market access consultancy arm of the company – and patient engagement specialists, Prime Patient, to provide integrated, evidence-based services.
Prior to its latest acquisition, in May 2020, Prime Global acquired Cambridge Medical Communication – now known as Cambridge – and went on to partner with Levine Leichtman a year later in April 2021. As an established medical communications and market access organisation, Prime Global has continued to incorporate a culture of creativity, strategy and science into supporting its biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients.
Speaking about the latest developments at the company, CEO of Prime Global, Graeme Peterson, said: “HCD Economics and Prime Global are both focused on improving patients’ lives. Combining HCD’s evidence generation and analytic expertise with our specialist medical, patient and payer communications skills will strengthen our support to clients, helping ensure patients have timely access to innovative treatments. I am excited to see the synergies we will create as our new partnership unfolds.”
Jamie O’Hara, founder and CEO of HCD Economics, added: “I’m delighted to partner with Prime Global, who shares our desire for improving patient lives. I look forward to working with Prime Global’s patient-led scientific and communications teams to take us to the next level.”
