HEALTHCARE COMMS
Publicis Health has launched a new agency under the Langland brand, in response to evolving client needs and its growing health practice.
The new agency will combine the expertise and experience of Langland, Publicis LifeBrands, Publicis Resolute and Real Science. It will build bespoke teams that bring a different perspective to health and which will aid clients in thinking across the entirety of their brands and businesses.
Langland’s offering will span across four interconnected disciplines – clinical trial experience, medical strategy and education, public Relations and policy and advertising. These four disciplines have been under the leadership of Victoria Wright (pictured), group managing director of Langland, since August 2019.
“You may have heard the name before, but this is a new Langland specially created to deliver on some of the biggest opportunities facing the healthcare industry today,” said Victoria Wright.
“We are here to actively fight against the ‘comfort zone’ – that space an agency can often find itself in when it has earned a certain reputation for how it works and what it delivers. At Langland we understand the power of different perspectives. We know we make our best work when we work together, because multiple minds can unlock ideas that individuals cannot see, helping people, businesses and brands think further,” she added.

“I am delighted to be establishing our new hub in Nottingham, which will offer fantastic career opportunities to those living in the Midlands. I can’t wait to welcome our new recruits and look forward to supporting them in their roles,” said Erica Cave, principal medical writer at Porterhouse.
“This new office will provide us with greater bandwidth, allowing us to continue to offer our customers the high levels of service they have come to expect,” added Brian Parsons, co-founder and joint MD of Porterhouse.
A new medical communications agency – BOLDSCIENCE – has launched with a focus on developing high science, creativity and innovation within a people-focused culture.
The co-founders – Mark Lydiatt, Mark Hardy, Yasmin Grant and Alison Lovibond – were all previously senior leaders at Nucleus Global, with Lydiatt being the former chief executive officer.
They bring with them decades of experience across the breadth of strategic medical communications, creative design and digital service innovation. All four have come together for the launch of BOLDSCIENCE and its holding company, CO-LAB in both the UK and the US.
“At BOLDSCIENCE and CO-LAB Global, our goal is to help our pharmaceutical and biotech client partners to deliver the best, most impactful healthcare communications that help drive changes in treatment practices and ultimately improve patients’ lives,” said Lydiatt, chief executive officer of BOLDSCIENCE.
The agency will offer a range of services, including communications strategy, medical affairs support, medical publications, scientific events, training, commercial support, expert engagement and clinical trial support.
The agency has teams established in Atlanta and Princeton in the US, and in central London in the UK. As its client needs grow, BOLDSCIENCE will also consider establishing teams at other locations globally.
“Too many agencies are either known for being scientific or being creative. With our integrated offering and hand-picked, in-house talent, we are delivering both high-science and top-end creative,” added Hardy, chief creative officer at BOLDSCIENCE.
