Fox&Cat relaunches with new operating model and planning framework

Fox&Cat has relaunched with a new senior-consultant operating model and bespoke planning framework, ADAPT.

The agency said its lean model means it can deliver programmes and campaigns “at market-leading value” and “resource itself at speed with the right team” while reducing the risk of team or client overtime, stress or burnout.

It outlined that its dual-focused framework “parallels the importance of effective, efficient and amicable ways of delivering work with creating award-winning campaigns and programmes”, adding that the model introduces a behaviour-change approach to “ensure the client-agency partnership constantly thrives”.

ADAPT was created alongside in-house teams, a behaviour change expert and a well-being coach to ensure it could identify cost-effective, resource-efficient and stress-minimised methods of programme delivery based on clients’ unique situations.

The relaunch comes after Fox&Cat established that, despite shrinking in size and seniority, in-house communications teams in healthcare were needing to prioritise communications in a changing and more heavily scrutinised environment.

Budget spends were being closely investigated by procurement teams to ensure best value at a time where workloads, restructures and business demands were causing additional pressures, the agency found, with almost eight in ten people working in communications experiencing significant levels of stress year-on-year.

Paul Hutchings, founder of Fox&Cat, said: “We appreciate how much pressure clients are under to deliver high-value work at lower cost.

“One of the lesser-known benefits of working with a senior consultant agency that has limited overheads is that we can deliver award-winning communications work incredibly efficiently, effectively and competitively.”

Fox&Cat has been soft-testing the framework and its new business model for the past six months, achieving 97% and 90% satisfaction from its clients and network, respectively.

The agency has also undergone a rebrand to mark the relaunch, with its logo now focusing on the ampersand to represent the “non-negotiable importance and value of the relationship between Fox&Cat and its clients, its affiliate partners and its network”.

Uptake recognised for international growth with King’s Award for Enterprise

Uptake has received the King’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category for its “outstanding growth” internationally over the past three years.

The recognition comes after His Majesty King Charles III approved the Prime Minister’s recommendation to award Uptake and places the global healthcare consultancy among the top 252 organisations nationally to be celebrated.

Renamed last year to reflect The King’s desire to continue the legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the King’s Awards for Enterprise recognise UK businesses and organisations that excel at international trade, innovation, sustainable development or promoting opportunity through social mobility.

Uptake’s founder and chief executive officer, Stephanie Hall, said: “We have become and continue to be a global force for growth for our clients and our people.

“We remain led by our purpose, to deliver work that positively changes more patients’ lives and I am so proud that our team has achieved such a prestigious recognition for this.”

Founded by Hall in 2005, Uptake provides consultancy to pharmaceutical and biotech organisations, with its expertise including strategy, planning, capability, transformation, early commercialisation and launch.

The agency’s team, which currently includes more than 50 employees and a network of independent principal consultants, has recently been delivering its services simultaneously in the UK, US, China, Portugal and France, marking a significant growth since its beginnings as a team of three.

Uptake said in a statement: “This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team members, who embody our core values and mission of positively impacting patients’ lives.

“Our collaborations with international pharmaceutical and biotech organisations have played a significant role in Uptake receiving this esteemed recognition for our international growth.”

The award comes just over a year after Uptake, formerly Uptake Strategies, unveiled a refreshed brand identity.
