Eli Lilly
Eli Lilly has appointed Christopher Stokes as president and general manager for the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe. Stokes' 15-year career with Lilly has spanned roles in corporate affairs, payer marketing and strategy, sales leadership and general management in Korea, South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. In his most recent role, he served as general manager, Lilly Korea. Stokes has also worked in several other leadership positions at the company, including chief operating officer, Lilly USA, which followed on from his position as senior director of sales, neurosciences and, before that, director of pricing, reimbursement and access strategy. He first joined the company in 2008 as public policy analyst. Earlier in his career, Stokes worked at Pfizer as a sales representative.

Gates MRI has appointed Patrice Matchaba as chief executive officer. Matchaba has over two decades of experience in global drug development and public health. He was previously president, Novartis US Foundation, where he also served as group head of global health and corporate responsibility, and global head of cardiovascular and metabolism drug development unit at the company.

Amarin has appointed Aaron Berg as president and chief executive officer. Berg brings over three decades of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry to his new role. He most recently served as senior vice president and chief commercial officer at the company. Earlier in his career, Berg served as president and chief executive officer of Essentialis.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has appointed June Davis as chief diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) officer. Davis brings over a decade of experience working in DEI positions. She recently served as director of strategy, planning and management and chief of staff at the foundation and has previously held roles at Cargill and Teach For America.

José Luis Castro
WHO has appointed José Luis Castro as director-general special envoy for chronic respiratory diseases. Castro holds over three decades of health policy experience in a variety of senior positions. He currently also serves as president and chief executive officer of Vital Strategies and has held senior roles at the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease.

Lars Erik Vølund Kristensen
LEO Pharma has appointed Lars Erik Vølund Kristensen as vice president, head of external innovation. Vølund Kristensen brings extensive experience to the role, having recently served as a professor at the University of Copenhagen and an associate professor at Lund University. He was also previously head of research at the Parker Institute and Bispebjerg Hospital.

Bristol Myers Squibb has appointed Michael McMullen to its board of directors. McMullen brings more than two decades of executive experience and leadership skills to his new role. He most recently served as chief executive officer and president of Agilent Technologies, which followed on from his position as vice president at the company.

He most recently served as chief executive officer of the company. Prior to this, he held a variety of senior positions at companies including the Babraham Institute Enterprise, Bicycle Therapeutics, Cellzome and GSK.

Danaher has appointed Martin Stumpe as chief data and artificial intelligence (AI) officer. Stumpe brings extensive AI, data science and precision medicine experience to his new role. He most recently served as chief of AI at Tempus Labs. He has also previously held multiple roles at companies including Google and the NASA Ames Research Center.
